One of the great features of the iPhone series has been the digital camera which is included as a part of the package of sleek design, numerous applications, and the touch screen.

The camera on the Apple iPhone functions great for what it is, a camera. However, do not be fooled into thinking that it is going to replace your digital camera for photo quality. It can be amazing for viewing quality and sharing those quick snapshots with your friends when you’re on the go and can’t wait to show someone baby’s first smile or the beautiful scenery that you’re currently experiencing.

The camera on the iPhone is very simple and does not really offer much in terms of quality. It is only 3.0 megapixels which doesn’t compare to many other smart phones which have higher ones such as the 5.0 megapixels which are contained in the Motorola Droid and the Motorola Clig.

It functions similar to the way that webcams functioned back in the early ages of computers and cameras before digital cameras became the norm. This means that anything in action is going to appear incredibly grainy on screen and any images that are taken will have a delay between focusing and when the image eventually gets taken. If you need a lot of action shots for a big sporting event or are trying to capture your kids on camera, it is best that you seek another method of taking pictures.

The camera also lacks the basic features that many cameras have even on the most basic of cell phones including a zoom feature and a flash as well. Due to this, shots during both the night and early evening will not have the greatest appearance and may be grainy and unfocused.

It’s not all bad though because if you’re trying to get pictures of your friends and family with optimal lighting conditions the pictures come out very crisp, clear, bright, and vibrant in colors.

The main feature that Apple’s camera has to make it worthwhile is how sharing and viewing work together. It comes out on top of the rest of the market. The phone allows you to use pictures as backgrounds or contact IDs along with features to allow direct uploads to Picasa so that friends and family on the internet can view that latest picture you took. The resolution that pictures are taken in are 1600×1200 and when you email them they get automatically resized to 640×480 which makes it convenient to email in smaller sizes. Once you take the picture you can zoom in to specific areas of it.

The iPhone has many features included which are noteworthy but they seem to have skipped over focusing on the camera in lieu of the other features which the iPhone has to offer. You can definitely get use out of the iPhone and its many applications, innovative touch screen controls, and excellent web browsing but skip out on using this as your main camera. Keep your digital handy for best results.

The smart phone market has been exploding in the past year or so. Every cell phone carrier has worked to produce and market the greatest and best phone with the features that can compare and beat every other carrier in the market. Apple’s iPhone has been one of the leaders in the market but competition is hot while new phones are being released every month. One of the iPhone’s direct competitors is the Nexus One. Let’s see how their features compare to see which one of these is overall a better phone.

The Nexus One is a smart phone much like the iPhone but is a Google product. The hardware of it seems superior to the iPhone but at the same time how often do the users care about the internal specifications as long as it performs what it needs to do? The truth is not too often. People want to see results and they want sleek, shiny, and workable. The Nexus One has a lot to live up to if it plans to rival the 4G and honestly, I don’t think it’s possible.

Let’s start with the screen resolution. Everyone knows that bigger is better because it fits more. The Nexus One boasts a screen resolution of 800×480 while the new iPhone is going to be 960×640, a decent increase.

The processor of the new iPhone is yet another notable point. Many sources say that the A4 system processor will be implemented into the iPhone. For those who are unfamiliar, the iPad also has the same processor type and family. On the contrary, the Nexus One has a 1ghz qualcom QSD snapdragon.

The cost of ownership between the two is where the Nexus One comes out ahead. AT&T has been frequently criticized for the data plan that is required with the iPhone. It is estimated that an iPhone will cost roughly $3,167 during its lifetime while the Nexus One is several hundred dollars cheaper at $2,707.

The Nexus One also has a superior battery life because it is a 3.7V 1400mAh while the iPhone has been previously a 1219mAh leaving a difference of about 2 hours in battery life more with the Nexus. The 4G has been claimed to fix this problem though but most of it is purely speculation. It has been one of the greatest flaws in the iPhone series though.

One of the greatest flaws of the Nexus is for repair. They do not have their own parts supply chain so if something does happen to break HTC has to repair it after you mail it in which can be quite costly while Apple stores can remedy iPhone problems directly on the spot when you walk into one. This is a big difference for people who want instant gratification.

For now though only time can tell anything. Apple likes to keep things under wraps and every specification that has been released is speculation by the analysts who have been anxiously waiting to see just what the new iPhone is going to bring to the market. It has some tough competition though.

It’s no secret that Apple’s been coming out with new iPhone every summer for the past couple of years, but Gizmodo’s monster scoop of what appears to be the next-generation iPhone might keep consumers from buying existing models — and at least one Wall Street analyst thinks Apple might react to that possibility by announcing the new iPhone ahead of schedule. Will that really happen, though?

Apple is soon going to bring out its 4G iPhone mobile. This one looks really great and further more powerful than the older models. I need some new features of this phone. What new things are added by Apple in it. What does the 4G terms actually means. This will be later the internet support of the phone which is defined in such a manner. Thanks in advance.

The 4G support on iphone will give you numerous new features and support. Like OLED display for high detailed videos and interface. Dual cameras one in front for video support in the phone. Removable battery in there is even talk of a capacity doubled. Dual Core Processor for higher performance to work on multiple application and games. And a powerful graphics chips.

features of iPhone 4G

The new surface of the 4G iPhone would be larger than 0.6 cm than the iPhone 3GS while the size of the screen is unchanged. The iPhone 4G (fourth generation to), 4 iPhone iPhone or A4 (for the processor that is identical to that of the iPad), it is bigger and at the same time thinner. It is new model with advance features and app support.

There are recurrent rumors from the manufacturers of flash memory would indicate that Apple ordered large quantities of modules 64 and 128 GB or 256 GB If the iPod touch have already reached the 64 GB, we can reasonably estimate that the iPhone 4G will likewise have the storage capacity. The 3G iPhone and were worth with a 2 MP sensor. 3G S is a little better, with a 3 MP sensor.

features of iPhone 4G

The 4G iPhone mobile offers a honorable solution, but far from the best smartphones. One thinks especially of the 8 Megapixel Sony Ericsson C905, which act as quasi-standard for quality products. The iPhone 4G should therefore incorporate a 5 MP sensor. What needs in photo and video. In addition, the iPhone 4G should also reach the standard and provide an LED flash to capture the purpose of evening festivities.

Obviously the list of new features does not stop here: it also speaks of a higher resolution camera, LED flash, RFID chip and of course, iPhone OS 4-this really late or early, and touches. The iPhone 4G will double the battery life of its predecessors and will include two cameras, one front for videoconferencing, plus WiFi 802.11b / n. It has been rumors that this mobile can be cheaper as compare to others.

APPLE IS unhappy with Gizmodo these days as they are planning to take some legal action against Gizmodo if it doesn’t return Apple lost iPhone prototype. But Gizmodo are not agreeing with this as they think all this happened after the photographs of the new device was circulated on net by the company.

The new iPhone 4G that has now been seen all over the web after the gadget eventually got pictures of it and Gizmodo landed the device itself – purportedly for a $5K to $10K fee, depending upon whom you believe. According to some experts it was a breach of security that could have put Gizmodo in trouble.

However, Brian Lam, the Editorial Director of Gizmodo mentioned that they want to return the test edition of the new iPhone. However, the good thing is that the Gizmodo is showing willingness to hand over the lost iPhone prototype back to Apple. This means that the controversy will come to an end pretty soon.

Bruce Sewell, Apple attorney, sent an e-mail to Gizmodo director, Brian Lam, “It has come to our attention that Gizmodo is currently in possession of a device that belongs to Apple. This letter constitutes a formal request that you return the device to Apple. Please let me know where to pick up the unit.”

After that Brian Lam responded to the e-mail saying, “Happy to have you pick this thing up. Was burning a hole in our pockets… Now that we definitely know it’s not some knockoff, and it really is Apple’s, I’m happy to see it returned to its rightful owner.”

Lam has also told Apple to take it easy as he also wants to solve the problem and does not want to get in any controversy. Let’s hope this whole issue ends so that both Apple and Gizmodo become friends again.

RUMORS ARE making rounds that Apple is all set to unveil its much coveted iphone 4G on January 27 – the event earmarked for the launch of its tablet device in San Francisco, United States.

The company is supposedly touting iPhone 4G as an answer to rival Google’s Nexus One. Apple issued invitations to media outlets on Monday to “join us for an invitation-only event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco on January 27 at 10:00a.m.”

The event will be showcased live from San Francisco by Fox network. In September 2009, Apple had surprised everyone by suddenly unveiling the latest generation iPod Touch just before the Fall iPod event – reason why everybody has set eyes on the Jan 27 event which may or may not be the official launch of iPhone 4G.

As per PC World, the iPhone 4G will come with some of the most interesting patents. One of the patents is supposedly a “grid of piezoelectronic actuators” which could mean “the ability to feel virtual buttons or a click wheel and receiving small vibrations from the handset.”

Another Apple patent suggests the “detection of a user’s individual fingerprints as an input method, a security implementation likely to be welcomed by many. It could also mean allowing different parts of the iPhone and any applications to open or locked to different users.”

PC World also reveals that the last Apple patent application places a Radio-frequency identification tag reader in the actual display panel of a device, allowing it to read RFIS tags. “RFID tags are small circuits that can be embedded in objects for identification using a special reader.”
